Hamilton College goalie
Jack Fried '25 (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck HS) earned 2025 U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Men's Scholar All-America honors on Tuesday, July 1 when the organization released its list.
Â
A Scholar All-American must be nominated by his coach and be a student with a senior year academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. He will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player. Each individual is evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the committee.
Â
Fried was an USILA All-America honorable mention selection, a member of the Division III Senior All-Star Game North roster and an all-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) first team pick. He finished the season with a 10.98 goals against average, a .543 save percentage and 175 saves in 14 starts. Fried ended up with exactly 500 career saves -- just the fifth goalie in Hamilton men's lacrosse history to reach the milestone.
Â
The Continentals also earned a 2025 USILA Academic Team Award for achieving a grade point average of 3.0 or better. Hamilton earned the honor for the second straight year under Head Coach
Scott Barnard, who just finished his 19
th year leading the team. The Continentals won seven games and played in the NESCAC championship quarterfinals.
