CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College men's lacrosse standout Frank Coyle '26 was selected by the Rochester Knighthawks with the 44th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2026 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Entry Draft on Thursday evening.

Coyle started all 44 games he played over his final three seasons at Hamilton and totaled 59 goals and 44 assists. The Peterborough, Ontario native recorded 18 goals and 13 assists in 15 games this spring, helping lead the Continentals to an NCAA championship second round appearance.

A three-time NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team honoree, Coyle recorded two goals and one assist in Hamilton's 10-9 win over Wesleyan in the 2026 NESCAC Championship quarterfinals. He surpassed 100 career points in the semifinal against Bowdoin.

Rochester held the first overall pick in the draft and selected Finn Thomson from Syracuse University. The Knighthawks' other selections were Saka Thompson of SUNY Potsdam, Matt Vilas of Hofstra and Owen Tovell of the Whitby Warriors of the Ontario Junior Lacrosse League (OJLL).

The NLL is a professional box lacrosse league featuring 12 teams, with six based in the United States and six in Canada. The 2026-27 NLL season begins Nov. 27, when the Saskatchewan Rush take on the Oshawa FireWolves. Rochester opens its season the following night at Blue Cross Arena against the Halifax Thunderbirds.
