BABSON PARK, Mass. – St. Lawrence University took the lead for good in the third quarter with six straight goals in the Saints' 14-10 win against the Hamilton College Continentals in a 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship second round game at Babson College's MacDowell Field on Saturday afternoon, May 9.
 

Season Update

• Nationally ranked No. 17 Hamilton (9-8 overall) received an at-large bid to the championship after a 17-11 setback at Bowdoin College in the NESCAC championship semifinals on May 2.
• No. 16 St. Lawrence (12-6), which finished 5-2 in the Liberty League, also picked up an at-large bid after an 11-9 loss against Rochester Institute of Technology in the league tournament semifinals on May 1.

 

How It Happened

• Neither team led by more than two goals until late in the third quarter. Cam Croasdaile made it 9-6 in the Saints' favor with 4:29 left and Ted Wilson added two goals in a 46-second span with less than 2:30 remaining in the third. St. Lawrence led 11-6 going into the fourth quarter and the Continentals didn't get closer than four goals the rest of the way.
• Hamilton never led in the first half but the Continentals tied the score at 1-1 early in the first quarter and again at 3-3 early in the second.
• Finn Vaccaro '29 scored on a behind-the-back shot just outside the crease with 16 seconds to go in the second quarter and drew Hamilton within 5-4 at the break.
• Maddux Little '27 tied the score on a shot from about 20 feet out on the left wing with 10:50 left in the third quarter after a pass from Jesse Delinsky '26.
• Delinsky gave the Continentals their only lead at 6-5 with 9:02 remaining. He took the ball into the left corner, ran around behind the goal and scored on a shot a few feet away from the right post.
• The lead lasted for 44 seconds. Jamie Rosenzweig tied it again with 8:18 to go and started a run of six goals in a span of less than seven minutes. Daniel Mahoney put the Saints up for good with 7:20 left and had the assist on Asa Beach's goal with 6:11 remaining.

 

Notes

• Vaccaro finished with two goals and two assists as he had a hand in all four Hamilton goals in the first half. The four points were the most in a game for Vaccaro since March 21 when he had four against Colby College. He led the Continentals with 20 assists this season.
• Delinsky ended up with two goals and an assist in his last game at Hamilton. He posted 14 points in his last five contests.
• Charlie Boon '29 chipped in a goal and an assist for his third multi-point game this spring.
• Wyatt Estepp '27 contributed a goal and an assist for his second multi-point outing of 2026.
• Little scored his 23^rd goal and Charlie Rooney '27 notched his second this season.
• Carson Kraus '27 recorded his 45^th tally and is tied for seventh in the NESCAC in goals. Kraus, who made the all-conference team, is tied for 10^th with 56 points.
• Frank Coyle '26, who reached the career 100-point milestone in the NESCAC semifinals at Bowdoin College, scored his 59^th career goal.
• Bryce Babich '29 picked up his first collegiate assist.
• Andrew Higgins '28 won 13-of-21 faceoffs and tied a career high with nine ground balls. Higgins is fifth in the conference with 83 ground balls.
• Jack Williams '28 made 10 saves for the Continentals.
• Wilson led St. Lawrence's offense with four goals and an assist. Drew Knight caused three turnovers and collected six ground balls. Wyatt Ryckert won 9-of-14 faceoffs and Heath Mann stopped 14 shots, including five in the first quarter when the Saints jumped out to a 3-1 lead.
• Hamilton had the edge in shots (40-34) and faceoff wins (15-12) and committed fewer turnovers.
• The Continentals made their second NCAA championship appearance (first was in 2003).
• Hamilton and St. Lawrence were meeting for the first time since they were both members of the Liberty League in 2011.
