POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Hamilton College's Muhan Cui '28 won all three of her singles and all three of her doubles matches at the Vassar College Scramble on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13.
 
The Continentals finished the weekend with an 11-8 record in singles play and a 10-4 record in doubles against athletes from Vassar, New York University, Connecticut College and SUNY New Paltz. Hamilton used 13 different doubles combinations in 14 matches.
 
Manasi Bedi '30 and Anette Dani '30 won both of their singles matches in their first collegiate competition. Bedi also went 3-1 in doubles and Dani won two out of three doubles matches.
 
Priyanka Challapalli '27 and Jessica Pagés '30 split two singles matches and four doubles matches apiece. The doubles team of Challapalli and Bedi was the only one that played together more than once and they went 2-0.
 
Grace Qian '27 led the Continentals in doubles action by winning all four of her matches. Mona Farah '29 and Sara Rock '29 prevailed in two out of three doubles matches apiece.
 
"This was a great first weekend of competition for our team and I am really encouraged by our performances throughout the event," Head Coach Billy Boykin said. "Overall, I thought we competed well and showed some good tennis. I am excited to watch this team grow over the course of this year."
 
Hamilton hosts Union College in non-conference action at Tietje Family Tennis Center on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m.
