Women's tennis fall season ends at Division III regional championship

Continentals had a doubles team and two singles competing on the third day of the event

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Hamilton College Continentals wrapped up play at the 2026 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Women's Northeast Regional Championship hosted by Skidmore College on Saturday, Oct. 3.

Grace Qian '27 and Mona Farah '29 had already won three doubles matches in the tournament's main draw, but they dropped an 8-3 decision against the top-seeded pairing from Saint Francis University (Pa.) in the semifinals. Qian and Farah were the third-seeded doubles team for the event.

Muhan Cui '28, who was one of the singles players seeded fifth through eighth, and Jessica Pagés '30 had won their first two main draw matches on Friday and also were in action on Saturday.

Cui lost in straight sets (6-4, 6-4) in the third round against New York University's Emma Kast, who was seeded ninth through 16th.

Pagés won the first set against NYU's Noelle Faber in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (5), in their round of 16 match. She was trailing Faber 2-3 in the second set when Pagés was forced to retire from the match due to injury.

Hamilton's fall season is complete and the Continentals will be back in action in early March with dual matches.
