CLINTON, N.Y. – Led by
Jack Quinn '27, the Hamilton College Continentals placed third out of eight teams in their own 2025 Hamilton Short Course Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 13.
Quinn led the way for the men in 10th place out of 112 runners with a 5-kilometer time of 15:41.5. In a breakout race for
Zed McNaughton '27, Hamilton's second runner finished in 13th place with a 15:51.1.
The Continentals' top five finished impressively close to each other as they were separated by just 18 seconds.
Ellis Goodson '27 posted a time of 15:53.1 and earned 15th place, and
Jeremy Bywater '27 came in 20th, laying down a 15:58.9.
Donovan Baird '29 rounded out the group in 21st with a time of 15:59.4 in his first collegiate race.
The Continentals scored 79 points, good for third place behind first place St. Lawrence University (32 points) and second place Roberts Wesleyan University (47 points).
Hamilton's next race is University of Rochester's Yellowjacket Invitational at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday, Sept. 20.
