Five Hamilton College athletes earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Athlete status for the 2025 NCAA Division III men's cross country season when the list was announced on Thursday, Jan. 29.

In order to qualify for all-academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.

Liam Card '27 (Damariscotta, Maine/Lincoln Academy) collected the all-academic honor for the second time (2024). The history major led Hamilton to fourth place at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Championship at Genesee Valley Park in Rochester, N.Y., by finishing in 21st place out of 189 runners with an 8-kilometer time of 25:52.6.

Drew Richardson '26 (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough Regional HS) received all-academic honors for the first time. The economics major ended up in 26th place at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Championship at Genesee Valley Park with a personal-record time of 26:03.6 on the 8-kilometer course.

Jack Quinn '27 (Reading, Mass./Reading Memorial HS) has been an all-academic athlete all three seasons so far. The mathematics and physics double major was 29th at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Championship at Genesee Valley Park in 26:06.6 on the 8-kilometer course.

Brady Armstrong '28 (Walpole, Mass./Xaverian Brothers HS) has achieved all-academic status both seasons. Armstrong came in 34th place at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Championship at Genesee Valley Park with an 8-kilometer time of 26:12.6.

Zed McNaughton '27 (Springfield, Vt./Woodstock Union HS) was on the all-academic athlete list for the first time. The history major finished 40
th at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Championship at Genesee Valley Park in 26:24.9 on the 8-kilometer course.

The Continentals were also one of the USTFCCCA's 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country All-Academic Teams. In order to qualify for all-academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.1 or better on a 4.0 scale through the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.

Hamilton had a team GPA of 3.60. The Continentals have collected this award under Head Coach
Brett Hull in each of the last 18 years.
