ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Six Hamilton College Continentals finished in the top 40 at the 2025 NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Men's Cross Country Championship, which was held at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday, Nov. 15.
Liam Card '27 led Hamilton by finishing in 21
st place out of 189 runners with an 8-kilometer time of 25:52.6. Card was 18
th after the first 1,000 meters when he recorded a split of 3:06.4, and he pretty much stayed in the top 25 the entire race.
Drew Richardson '26 ended up in 26
th place with a personal-record time of 26:03.6. Richardson was in 41
st place after 2,000 meters but he slowly moved up the rest of the race. His split time of 3:11.7 over the final 1,000 meters helped him go from 30
th to 26
th place.
Jack Quinn '27 was 29
th in 26:06.6. Quinn was in 17
th place through 3,000 meters with a time of 9:28.9.
Jeremy Bywater '27 followed close behind Quinn in 31
st place and a personal-best time of 26:07.3.
Brady Armstrong '28 rounded out the Continentals' top five in 34
th place with a time of 26:12.6. Armstrong went from 44
th after 2,000 meters to 30
th after 5,000.
Zed McNaughton '27 finished 40
th in 26:24.9 and
Ellis Goodson '27 crossed the finish line in 51
st place with a time of 26:43.2. Goodson's 3:05.6 in the opening 1,000 meters was the fastest split time for any Hamilton runner the entire race.
The Continentals finished in fourth place out of 27 teams with 141 points. SUNY Geneseo (29 points) edged New York University (47) for the regional title, and University of Rochester took third place with 110.
The 2025 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships individual and team selections will be announced on Sunday, Nov. 16.
