Men's lacrosse makes trip to Bowdoin for NESCAC quarterfinal on April 26

Seventh-seeded Continentals ended regular season with four wins in last five games

The Hamilton College Continentals travel to Brunswick, Maine, for a 2025 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Lacrosse Championship quarterfinal at Bowdoin College's Whittier Field on Saturday, April 26 at 1 p.m.

Hamilton (7-7 overall) tied for sixth place in the conference standings with a 4-6 record and is the seventh seed for the championship. The Continentals are 32nd in the NCAA Division III Power Index rankings. Hamilton has won four of its last five games going into the postseason. The Continentals, who have played lacrosse in the NESCAC since 2012, picked up their first postseason win in last year's championship as a No. 8 seed at top seed Tufts University. Hamilton leads the conference in fewest turnovers per game and is second in penalty-killing percentage.

Nationally ranked No. 6 Bowdoin (12-2) finished in second place in the conference standings with an 8-2 record and is the second seed for the championship. The Polar Bears are sixth in the NPI rankings. Bowdoin has never won the NESCAC title but played in the 2022 final. The Polar Bears, who are 7-1 at home, defeated the Continentals in Maine back on March 28 by a score of 13-5. Bowdoin leads the conference in goals against average and is second in fewest turnovers and caused turnovers per game.
