The Hamilton College Continentals host the semifinals and final of the 2025 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Hockey Championship at Russell Sage Rink on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9.
No. 1 seed Hamilton (18-6-1 overall) takes on No. 7 seed Middlebury College (13-11-1) in the first semifinal at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The second semifinal features No. 5 seed Tufts University (11-12-1) and No. 3 seed Colby College (14-5-6) at 4:30. The semifinal winners play for the NESCAC title and an NCAA championship automatic bid at Sage Rink on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Tickets for each semifinal are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and $3 for students/children 3 and older. Tickets for children under 3 are free. Hamilton, which cruised to a 5-2 win against Connecticut College in the quarterfinals on March 1, finished in first place in the conference standings with 41 points. The Continentals are the top seed in this event for the third time overall and the first time since 2017. Hamilton is No. 8 in the March 3 USCHO.com Division III Men's Hockey Top 15 poll and ninth in the NCAA Division III Power Index (NPI) rankings as of March 2. The Continentals defeated Middlebury 6-0 at home back on Dec. 7. Hamilton leads the NESCAC in goals scored and goals allowed per game, power-play percentage and faceoff winning percentage.
Luke Tchor '27 leads the conference with 15 goals and 32 points, and goaltender
Charlie Archer '25 is number one with a 1.44 goals against average and .939 save percentage.
Max Bulawka '26 and
Jackson Krock '26 have won better than 60 percent of their faceoffs. Tchor is the 2025 NESCAC Player of the Year, Archer is the Defensive Player of the Year and

Middlebury finished in seventh place in the conference standings with 25 points. The Panthers, who knocked off the No. 2 seed Trinity College 1-0 in the quarterfinals on March 1, moved up to 30th in the NPI rankings. Middlebury rallied for a 4-2 win against the Continentals at home in the regular season finale on Feb. 22. The Panthers are 8-0 against Hamilton in the history of the NESCAC championship, which goes back to 2000. Middlebury has won eight conference titles, but the last was in 2010. The Panthers are last in the NESCAC in penalty-killing percentage. Christian Wood leads the conference with 40 blocked shots.
