CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College Men's Hockey student-athletes
Aksel Reid '27 and
Luke Tchor '27 have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Men's At-Large Second Team, as announced by the organization on July 8.
Members of the Continentals' 2026 national championship squad, Reid and Tchor are the program's first Academic All-Americans since 2018 and the 19
th and 20
th student-athletes in Hamilton history to receive the honor.
The Academic All-America teams, selected by CSC members, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The Division III Academic All-America men's at-large teams featured 45 student-athletes.
Reid, who was named the NCAA Championship Most Outstanding Player after tallying a career-high 39 saves against Hobart in the final, started 28 games in goal for the Continentals this season and ranked sixth in the nation with a 1.84 goals against average. He compiled 616 saves and a .924 save percentage, and was selected to the All-NESCAC Second Team as well as the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team. Reid is majoring in biochemistry and mathematics and statistics.
Tchor led the Continentals in points with 18 goals and 16 assists and was selected NESCAC Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. He was named a CCM/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Division II-III All-American and selected as one of seven finalists for the prestigious Sid Watson Award. He also secured a spot on the All-NESCAC First Team for the third time and was placed on the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team. The economics and mathematics and statistics dual major was voted to the NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team after recording one goal and one assist against Hobart in the title game.
Reid and Tchor were previously named to the CSC Academic All-District Men's At-Large team in order to advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
