Three Hamilton College athletes were selected for the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III All-Region Team, which is sponsored by Apex Field Hockey, on Wednesday, Dec. 3.

Isabelle Nahon '27 (Westport, Conn./Staples HS) was one of five defenders on the first team in Region II. Sammy Higgins '26 (Weston, Mass./Noble and Greenough School) and Lilly Truchon '26 (South Burlington, Vt./St. Paul's School [N.H.]) were two of the eight midfielders on the second team.

The all-region team honor was the second for Truchon while Nahon and Higgins were on the team for the first time. A total of 32 athletes were recognized in Region II, which includes three conferences and three independent teams with nearly all 28 schools located in New England.

Nahon started all 18 games and finished with 10 points and one defensive save. She scored three goals and tied for the team lead with four assists. Nahon converted a penalty stroke in sudden-victory overtime of a 4-3 win against Bowdoin College on Sept. 27.

Higgins started all 18 games and ended up with 16 points. She notched six goals and tied Nahon for the team lead with four assists. Higgins' overtime goal lifted the Continentals to a 2-1 win against SUNY Geneseo in the first round of the NCAA championship on Nov. 12. She wrapped up her 61-game career with 28 points on nine goals and 10 assists.

Truchon started all 18 games and posted 15 points on seven goals and an assist. She scored the first goal in a 3-0 win against Trinity College on Oct. 25 and had the assist on Higgins' overtime game-winner in the NCAA victory against Geneseo on Nov. 12. Truchon racked up 46 points on 22 goals and two assists in 65 career games.

Hamilton finished with an overall record of 12-6 and was ranked 12th in the Top 25 coaches poll before the NCAA championship started. The Continentals made their second NCAA appearance, hosted an NCAA game for the first time and won an NCAA game for the first time. Hamilton had a 5-5 record against ranked opponents.
