Truchon '26 receives 2025 field hockey Collegiate Senior Team honors

Senior midfielder honored for her exceptional four-year career with the Continentals

Hamilton College's Lilly Truchon '26 (South Burlington, Vt./St. Paul's School [N.H.]) was one of 60 Division III student-athletes selected for the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Collegiate Senior Team on Thursday, Nov. 20.

The honor celebrates each senior's competitive excellence, leadership and lasting influence within their programs. Selections are based on nominations submitted by NFHCA member coaches and reviewed by committees composed entirely of NFHCA members.

Truchon collected 2024 NFHCA all-America and all-region team honors, and earlier in November she made the all-New England Small College Athletic Conference team for the third time. The midfielder and four-year starter finished her career with 22 goals and two assists for 46 points in 65 games.

Truchon helped the Continentals to one of their best seasons in program history in 2025. Nationally ranked No. 12 Hamilton received an at-large bid to the NCAA championship, hosted an NCAA game for the first time and picked up its first tournament win in a 2-1 double overtime thriller against SUNY Geneseo. The Continentals advanced to the NCAA second round and finished with a record of 12-6. On Oct. 21 Hamilton was ranked seventh in the NFHCA Top 25 poll – the highest ranking in program history.
