Hamilton College punter
Tighe Hoey '25 (New Canaan, Conn./St. Paul's School [N.H.]) was selected for the 2024 Walter Camp Football Foundation NCAA Division III All-America Team on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
Hoey was the only punter on the 25-player team. This is the first year the Walter Camp Foundation has recognized a Division III all-America team.
Hoey was selected for the American Football Coaches Association Division III All-America Team in December. He was third in NCAA Division III with an average of 44.1 yards per punt. Hoey finished the season with 2,295 yards on 52 punts, 16 of which traveled 50 or more yards with a long of 70. He placed 18 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line and six went for touchbacks.
Hoey is a three-time member of the all-New England Small College Athletic Conference team. He was a two-time D3football.com all-region team honoree and was named to the 2024 D3football.com Preseason All-America Team. Hoey also played defensive back for the Continentals in 2024 and was credited with 29 tackles, a forced fumble and two pass breakups in nine games.
