Matias '12 rows for Angola in Paris Olympics on July 27

Hamilton rowing alum is competing in the men's single sculls

Former Hamilton College men's rower André Matias '12 is competing at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris for the country of Angola on Saturday, July 27.

Matias is scheduled to row in the first of six heats of the men's single sculls at 9 a.m. local time (3 a.m. Eastern time). He will race out of lane four. The men's single sculls competition will continue for the next eight days, culminating in the A, B, and C finals on Saturday, August 3.

Matias rowed for Angola in the men's lightweight double sculls at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
