SCOTIA, N.Y. – The Hamilton College Continentals put forth a strong start to the fall portion of their 2026-27 season at the Mohawk Fall Classic on the Mohawk River on Sunday, Sept. 27.
Hamilton finished in second place out of seven entries in the collegiate eights race with a time of 12:02.30 on the 3,700-meter course. Middlebury College edged the Continentals for first place in 11:57.35.
In the collegiate fours, Hamilton placed two boats in the top three out of seven entries. One of the Continentals' entries took the top spot in 13:53.20 and the other was third with a time of 14:16.13. Gordon College was the runner-up in 13:57.01.
Hamilton grabbed first place in the collegiate pair with a time of 14:36.79 that topped the seven-boat field. Gordon finished a distant second in 15:01.09.
The Continentals won't compete again until Hobart College's Challenge on the Canal in Waterloo, N.Y., on Saturday, Oct. 24.
