Women's tennis in NESCAC quarterfinals for second straight year

Continentals play at Wesleyan on Friday, May 3 at 1 p.m.

The Hamilton College Continentals travel to Middletown, Conn., where they will play a 2024 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Tennis Championship quarterfinal against Wesleyan University at Wesleyan's John Wood Memorial Outdoor Courts on Friday, May 3 at 1 p.m.

Hamilton (7-8 overall) finished in eighth place in the NESCAC standings with a 3-7 record and is the eighth seed for the championship. Hannah Apsey '25 is the Continentals' top singles player and Shannon Cicero '25 and Grace Qian '27 lead the team with seven dual meet wins apiece. The doubles team of Apsey and Stephanie Pratt '25 has a 9-5 record in dual matches.

The Cardinals (15-0) finished in first place in the conference standings with a 10-0 record and are the No. 1 seed for the championship. Wesleyan is third in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Collegiate Tennis Rankings and first in the NCAA Region I rankings. The Cardinals defeated Hamilton 9-0 at home back on March 10.
