BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Hamilton College Continentals kicked off the dual meet portion of their schedule with a 5-2 non-conference win over Division I Binghamton University inside Binghamton's Lane-Starke Tennis Center on Sunday, March 3.
Hamilton is tied for 30
th in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association Collegiate Tennis Rankings. The Continentals play at Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Saturday, March 9 at 10 a.m.
Binghamton won two out of three doubles matches and picked up the doubles team point, but Hamilton came back by winning five of six singles matches.
Samantha Rainero '26 clinched the deciding fourth team point with her victory in straight sets at sixth flight.
Priyanka Challapalli '27 was perfect on the day with wins in doubles and singles play. Challapalli paired with
Hannah Apsey '25 at first flight doubles and outlasted her opponent in three sets at second flight singles.
Stephanie Pratt '25, who did not compete during the fall season, took care of her opponent in straight sets at third flight singles.
Grace Qian '27 improved her singles record to 6-5 as she triumphed at fourth flight singles.
Grace Fuss '24 moved her career singles record to 5-3 after she swept her opponent at fifth flight singles.
