Truchon '26 is all-region field hockey selection for first time

Junior midfielder was placed on the first team for the Continentals

Hamilton College midfielder Lilly Truchon '26 (South Burlington, Vt./St. Paul's School [N.H.]) was selected for the 2024 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III All-Region Team on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Truchon, who was placed on the first team in Region II, made the all-region team for the first time. She is one of 15 midfielders on the Region II team.

Truchon finished with five goals, including two game-winners, and started all 16 contests. She was second on the team in goals and tied for second in points. Truchon has 15 goals and one assist for 31 career points with the Continentals.

"Lilly was very impactful from her central midfield position this season," Head Coach Missy Mariano said. "Her quick skill and poise under pressure allowed for great distribution of the ball, while her speed and fitness helped her come up with big plays on both the offensive and defensive ends of the field."

Hamilton ended up with a 7-9 overall record and advanced to the NESCAC championship quarterfinals after tying for seventh place in the conference with a 3-7 mark. The Continentals were ranked as high as 22nd in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll during the season. Hamilton defeated nationally ranked Wesleyan University and Bowdoin College in September.
