Hamilton College midfielder
Lilly Truchon '26 (South Burlington, Vt./St. Paul's School [N.H.]) was selected for the 2024 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-America Team on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
Truchon, who was picked for the third team, is one of 48 all-Americans and one of 19 midfielders on the team. She's the first Hamilton field hockey all-American since Michaela Giuttari '20 in 2018, and it's the ninth all-America selection in program history.
Earlier this fall Truchon made the all-NESCAC first team and the NFHCA all-region first team. She finished with five goals, including two game-winners, and started all 16 contests. She was second on the team in goals and tied for second with 10 points. Truchon has 15 goals and one assist for 31 career points with the Continentals.
"Lilly was very impactful from her central midfield position this season," Head Coach
Missy Mariano said after her all-region selection. "Her quick skill and poise under pressure allowed for great distribution of the ball, while her speed and fitness helped her come up with big plays on both the offensive and defensive ends of the field."
Hamilton ended up with a 7-9 overall record and advanced to the NESCAC championship quarterfinals after tying for seventh place in the conference standings. The Continentals were ranked as high as 22nd in the NFHCA Division III Top 25 poll during the season. Hamilton defeated nationally ranked Wesleyan University and Bowdoin College in September.
