TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Hamilton College's Keira Rogan '28 led three Continentals in the women's race at the 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, which were held at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course on Saturday morning, Nov. 23.

Rogan, Taylor Harris '26 and Sylvie Najarian '25 competed as individuals for Hamilton. Harris was in the national meet for the third time and Najarian was in her second NCAA championship race with the Continentals.

Rogan took 15th place out of 290 finishers with a 6-kilometer time of 21:24.3. It was the best finish by a Hamilton female runner in the national championship since Maggie Hanson '02 was ninth in 2001 when the race distance was five kilometers. Rogan was in 20th place after the first kilometer with a time of 3:10.6. She moved up to 13th place (10:11.4) at the halfway point and slipped slightly to 15th place (17:42.7) after five kilometers. Rogan ran the last 1,000 meters in 3:41.7.

Najarian finished in 218th place with a time of 23:11.7 in her final collegiate race. She was 261st (3:24) after the first kilometer and gradually moved up the leaderboard from there. Najarian was 234th (11:00) at the midway marker and 223rd (19:12.1) after five kilometers. She moved up five more spots in the final 1,000 meters with a split time of 3:59.6.

Harris ran with Najarian for most of the race, just as the pair did during the Niagara Regional championship a week ago, and finished in 232nd place with a time of 23:21.1. She was 268th (3:24.3) after the opening 1,000 meters and moved up 57 places to 211th (10:55.8) at the 3-kilometer mark. Harris slid back to 226th place (19:13.9) after five kilometers and ran the last 1,000 meters in 4:07.2.
