SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Hamilton College women's rowing finished fourth out of 15 entries in the collegiate eights at the 2024 Head of the Fish Regatta on Fish Creek on Saturday, Oct. 26.
 
The Continentals posted a time of 11:58.99 on the 3,300-meter (2.1 miles) course. Boston College was the race winner in 11:24.15.
 
Hamilton had two boats in the collegiate second varsity eights. The Continentals' 'A' entry ended up 10^th out of 21 boats with a time of 12:44.06 and the 'B' entry was 18^th in 14:16.17. A Massachusetts Institute of Technology entry took the top spot with a time of 11:58.41.
 
Hamilton's top finisher came in the collegiate frosh/novice fours where the Continentals grabbed third place out of 11 boats with a time of 16:00.65. Middlebury College captured first place in 15:37.69.
 
Hamilton had four entries in the collegiate fours as there were a total of 35 boats in the race. The Continentals' 'B' entry landed in sixth place with a time of 13:34.78 followed by Hamilton 'A' (17^th place, 14:23.63), Hamilton 'C' (20^th, 14:35.01) and Hamilton 'D' (23^rd, 14:42.25). Cornell University's 'A' entry was the winner in 12:46.01.
 
The Continentals finished eighth out of 20 boats in the collegiate frosh/novice eights with a time of 14:41.52. Cornell captured first place in 11:56.27.
 
Hamilton will be back on the water in the spring of 2025.
