SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Hamilton College men's rowing captured first place out of 13 entries in the collegiate eights at the 2024 Head of the Fish Regatta on Fish Creek on Saturday, Oct. 26.
The Continentals posted a winning time of 10:38.59 on the 3,300-meter (2.1 miles) course. Ithaca College (10:44.17) was the runner-up and Skidmore College (10:49.95) finished third.
Hamilton's top entry in the collegiate fours grabbed second place out of 24 boats with a time of 11:55.20. The Continentals' 'B' entry ended up in 23
rd place in 14:22.27. Skidmore's 'A' entry was the winner with a time of 11:49.64 and Ithaca's 'A' (12:00.43) finished third.
Hamilton finished in sixth place out of seven boats in the collegiate second varsity eights with a time of 12:51.90. Ithaca registered a winning time of 11:02.64.
The Continentals will be back on the water in the spring of 2025.
