Box Score CLINTON, N.Y. – Trinity College's Connor Sedlak had a goal and two assists and the Bantams defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 6-1 in a NESCAC game played inside Hamilton's Russell Sage Rink on Friday, Jan. 26.
Season Update
- The Continentals (11-5-1, 6-4-1 NESCAC) are receiving votes in the USCHO.com Division III Top 15 poll.
- Nationally ranked No. 10 Trinity (13-3-1, 9-1-1) swept the season series against Hamilton as the Bantams posted a 4-1 win at home back on Dec. 1.
How It Happened
- Trinity scored twice in the first period. Kevin Mackay put the Bantams on the scoreboard 4:03 into the period, and Spencer Korona made it 2-0 with 5:04 left after he forced a turnover in the Continentals' defensive zone and scored unassisted.
- Trinity's Alexander Mozian tallied the lone goal in the second period. Mozian scored 4:46 into the second with five seconds left on a power play.
- Ned Blanchard and Sedlak notched goals in the opening 3:28 of the third period as the Bantams went up 5-0.
- Hamilton went on a five-minute power play less than a minute later. The Continentals put seven shots on goal during the five-minute major but didn't score.
- Luke Tchor '27 ended Trinity's shutout bid with 6:40 remaining. Grisha Gotovets '25 took a shot that was blocked by a defender in the slot and the puck pinballed around the crease. Tchor found it near the left post and stuffed it into the back of the net. The capacity crowd at Sage Rink responded by throwing dozens of oranges on the ice.
- Hamilton went on another power play 37 seconds later and the Continentals pulled their goaltender for the 6-on-4 advantage. Hamilton's net remained empty until Devan Tongue scored on a shot from near center ice with 1:58 to go.
