CLINTON, N.Y. – Amherst College remained undefeated in the NESCAC with a 7-2 win against the Hamilton College Continentals inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Saturday, April 8.
The Continentals (6-6, 4-4 NESCAC) are 21
st in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Collegiate Tennis Rankings. Hamilton will honor
Lauren Holtzman '23 prior to its last home match on Friday, April 14 at 3 p.m. against Vassar College.
Hannah Apsey '25 was a winner in both singles and doubles play for the Continentals. Apsey is ranked 16
th in the regional singles rankings, and she and Holtzman are 11
th in the regional doubles rankings.
Apsey outlasted seventh-ranked Amy Cui 11-9 in a third set super-tiebreaker at first flight singles. She's tied for a team-high nine singles wins this season and is 25-14 in her Hamilton career.
Apsey and Holtzman defeated 13
th-ranked Katja Jules Viberg and Karolina Dobiecka 8-5 at first flight doubles. They are 8-2 this season and 19-4 all-time as a doubles pairing.
