CLINTON, N.Y. – Colgate University swept the singles matches and the Division I Raiders defeated the Hamilton College Continentals by a 7-2 decision in non-conference action played inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Tuesday.
The nationally ranked No. 21 Continentals dropped to 5-4 overall this season. Colgate, which is a member of the Patriot League, improved to 11-4 overall.
Hannah Apsey '25 and
Lauren Holtzman '23 earned a team point for Hamilton at first flight doubles. The duo, who are ranked 11
th in the Northeast Region, improved their record to 5-2 this season and 16-4 all-time as a doubles pairing.
Shannon Cicero '25 and
Hannah Walpole '26 picked up the other win for the Continentals at second flight doubles. Cicero and Walpole are a team-best 9-1 this season as doubles partners.
Hamilton hosts No. 38 Bates College for a NESCAC match on Saturday, April 1 at 2 p.m.
