No. 23 women's tennis posts 5-4 non-conference win at Haverford

Apsey '25 and Holtzman '23 won their singles and doubles matches for the Continentals

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Hamilton College's Hannah Apsey '25 and Lauren Holtzman '23 won their singles and doubles matches and the Continentals edged Haverford College 5-4 in non-conference action at Haverford's Alumni Field House on Friday.
 
Nationally ranked No. 23 Hamilton (5-2 overall) won its third straight match – all on the road. Haverford (2-5) is ranked ninth in its region.
 
Apsey lost the first set against Abbey Russano at first flight singles, but won the next two and improved her career record to 23-11. Holtzman has a 19-9 career singles record after she defeated Ellie Esterowitz 6-4, 6-4 at second flight. Apsey and Holtzman are 14-4 all-time as a doubles pair with the Continentals after they cruised at first flight.
 
Samantha Rainero '26 won her sixth singles match this season as she triumphed in straight sets at sixth flight. Claire Cutler '24 and Stephanie Pratt '25 were 8-4 winners at third flight doubles.
