HARTFORD, Conn. – Hamilton College's
Samantha Rainero '26 rallied for the win in her sixth flight singles match and clinched the decisive fifth team point in the Continentals' 5-4 NESCAC victory against the Trinity College Bantams at Trinity's Assaiante Tennis Center on Sunday.
Rainero dropped the first set but won the last two by 6-2 scores in the last match of the day. Hamilton plays a non-conference match at Haverford College on Friday, March 17 at 4 p.m.
Shannon Cicero '25 and
Hannah Walpole '26 won their singles and doubles matches for the Continentals. They remained undefeated at 7-0 as a doubles pair with a victory at second flight. Cicero won in straight sets at fourth flight singles and Walpole did the same at fifth flight singles. Walpole leads the team with eight singles wins.
Stephanie Pratt '25 was a winner in three sets at third flight singles. Pratt took the match in convincing fashion by a 6-0 decision in the third set.
