NEW LONDON, Conn. – The nationally ranked No. 23 Hamilton College Continentals cruised to a 9-0 NESCAC win against the Connecticut College Camels at Conn. College's Luce Field House on Saturday.
Hamilton, which moved into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Collegiate Tennis Rankings on March 10, defeated the Camels by a 9-0 decision for the second straight year. The Continentals play another conference match at Trinity College on Sunday, March 12 at 10 a.m.
Hannah Apsey '25 improved to 22-10 in her Hamilton career with a win at first flight singles.
Lauren Holtzman '23 didn't lose a game at second flight singles and
Stephanie Pratt '25 blanked her opponent at third flight singles in a pro set.
Shannon Cicero '25 was a winner at fourth flight singles and
Hannah Walpole '26 picked up her team-high seventh singles victory this season.
Samantha Rainero '26 won at sixth flight singles in another match that was shortened to a pro set.
Apsey and Holtzman are 13-3 in their career as a doubles team after their win at first flight. Cicero and Walpole moved to 6-0 this season with a victory at second flight doubles that went to a tiebreaker. Pratt and
Claire Cutler '24 breezed to an 8-0 triumph at third flight doubles.
