Two Hamilton College relays placed in the top eight in the 2022 NESCAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hamilton's Pritchard Track on Saturday.

The Continentals finished in sixth place in the women's 4x100-meter relay with a time of 50.02 seconds.
Hope Obolanle '25, Michelle Wu '25, Hyla Mosher '23 and
Nina Shaikh '24 were the members of that relay.

Hamilton was seventh in the 4x400-meter relay in 9:47.57.
Frankie Lilly '23, Katie Sands '24, Mia Schiel '22 and
Allie Reed '23 made up that relay. Schiel also qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Outdoor Championships in the 1,500-meter run with a personal-record time of 4:47.78.

In the field events
Leah Basel '24 qualified to compete in the AARTFC in mid-May with a mark of 10.83 meters (35 feet, 6.5 inches) in the triple jump.
Andrea Shipton '22 ended up ninth in the pole vault after she cleared 3.40 meters (11 feet, 1.75 inches).
Hamilton finished 11th in the team standings with five points. Middlebury College (149) edged Tufts University (142) for the team title.Â

The Continentals compete in the 2022 AARTFC Outdoor Championships on May 18 and 19 at Moravian University in Bethlehem, Pa.
