CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College's
Emmeline Stoetzel '28 broke the women's track and field team's outdoor record in the long jump in the 2026 Hamilton Outdoor Invitational at Pritchard Track on Saturday, April 11.
No team scores were kept in the nine-team meet. The Continentals compete in the University at Buffalo Alumni Invitational on Friday, April 17.
Stoetzel finished in first place with a leap of 5.36 meters (17 feet, 7 inches), which she accomplished on her sixth and final attempt. The previous team record of 5.33 meters had been held by Muriel Schwinn '13 since April 2010.
Hamilton qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Outdoor Championships in the 4x100-meter relay. The Continentals finished first with a time of 49.15 seconds.
Mackenzie Loudon '29, Tatiana McCray '28, Mia O'Neill '28 and
Marley Meyers '28 were the members of the relay.
