Dana Schwartz '26 (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth HS) earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association all-America honors for her performance at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on May 23.

Athletes who finish in the top eight in each individual and relay event at the NCAA championships collect first team all-America status. Anyone who finishes in ninth through 16
th place in an individual event or ninth through 12
th place in a relay at the national meet picks up second team all-America status.

Schwartz took eighth place in the women's javelin throw and gave the Continentals an all-American in women's outdoor track and field for the second year in a row.

Schwartz, who was competing in the NCAA championships for the first time, recorded her best throw of 43.06 meters (141 feet, 3 inches) on her third attempt. It was more than seven feet further than any of her other five attempts. Schwartz finished less than nine feet behind the national champion.
