Hamilton College's Dana Schwartz '26 (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth HS) was selected the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, March 31 when the conference announced its outdoor track & field athletes of the week.
 
Schwartz started the Continentals' outdoor season with a bang at the Monmouth University Season Opener where she finished in second place in the javelin throw with a distance of 43.84 meters (143 feet, 10 inches) on March 28. Her performance shattered her own team record, is the top mark in the NESCAC and ranks second in NCAA Division III.
 
Schwartz and her Hamilton teammates compete in the Utica University Pioneer Spring Invitational on April 3 and April 4. The javelin will be contested on Friday starting at 2 p.m.
