Hamilton College athletes finished first in five events in its own non-team scoring 2022 Hamilton Outdoor Track & Field Invitational at Pritchard Track on Saturday.

Liza Greene '22 won the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase and qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Track & Field (AARTFC) championships with a time of 11:55.16. The 4x800-meter relay captured first place in 10:08.20 and was made up of
Frankie Lilly '23, Maddie Foss '25, Betsy Overstrum '24 and
Mia Schiel '22.

Andrea Shipton '22 led the effort by the field athletes as she cleared 3.20 meters (10 feet, 6 inches) and finished first in the pole vault. Shipton qualified for the AARTFC meet.
Hyla Mosher '23 grabbed the top spot in the long jump with a leap of 5.06 meters (16 feet, 7.25 inches), and
Olivia DiTommaso '24 took first place in the javelin throw with a mark of 30.02 meters (98 feet, 6 inches).

The Continentals qualified for the AARTFC championships in the 4x100-meter relay and finished third with a time of 50.32 seconds.
Leah Basel '24, Michelle Wu '25, Nina Shaikh '24 and Mosher were the members of that relay.

Overstrum was runner-up in the 1,500-meter run and finished just 24 one-hundredths of a second behind the winner with a time of 5:04.83. Foss was fourth in 5:11.46.

Basel was busy as she ended up third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.98 and landed in third place again in the triple jump with a distance of 10.57 meters (34 feet, 8 inches). Schiel finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:24.62, and
Katie Sands '24 was third in the 400-meter dash (1:04.25). Wu took fourth place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.32 seconds, and Shaikh was sixth in the 100-meter dash in 13.41 seconds.

Hamilton makes the short trip to Utica University for its spring invitational on Saturday, April 9.
