The Hamilton College Continentals finished their spring break trip to Florida with an impressive 5-4 non-conference win against Grinnell College at Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando on Tuesday afternoon.
Hamilton will head back to New York with a perfect 4-0 dual match record, and Grinnell lost for just the third time in 16 matches. The Continentals return home to take on Wesleyan University in NESCAC action on Saturday, March 26 at 10 a.m.
Lauren Holtzman '23 was the lone double winner for Hamilton as she prevailed at third flight singles and with
Hannah Apsey '25 at first flight doubles.
Kat Roberts '22 outlasted her opponent in a third set super-tiebreaker 10-8 at fifth flight singles.
Shannon Cicero '25 was victorious in straight sets at sixth flight singles.
Stephanie Pratt '25 and
Claire Cutler '24 won their second flight doubles match.
Apsey, who is ranked 47th in Division III singles play, fell in straight sets to 12th-ranked Sabrina Tang at first flight. Pratt's second flight opponent, Irene Agusti, is ranked 43rd in singles.
