Hamilton College's Stephanie Pratt '25 and Hannah Walpole '26 led the Continentals to a 5-4 non-conference victory against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at RPI's Sharp Courts on Saturday afternoon.
 
Season Update
Hamilton was playing its first dual match this fall while the Engineers dropped to 1-1 overall.
 
How It Happened

• Pratt and Claire Cutler '24 won 8-5 at first flight doubles before Pratt rallied for a three-set victory at first flight singles.
• Walpole and Lorelei Glidden '24 edged their opponents at third flight doubles, 8-6. Walpole then outlasted Rani Jones in three sets at third flight singles for the deciding fifth team point.
• Kate Solowey '25 triumphed in straight sets at fifth flight singles.

 
Notes

• Pratt improved to 7-3 in doubles.
• Glidden and Walpole were playing as doubles partners for the first time.
• Walpole moved her singles record to 5-1.
• Solowey captured her second singles win this fall.
