The Hamilton College Continentals finished in sixth place out of 10 teams at the 2021 Williams College Purple Valley Classic at Mount Greylock High School on Saturday afternoon.
Bram Mansbach '24 paced Hamilton in 28th place out of 153 finishers with a time of 27:28.2 on the 8-kilometer course.
Nick Lyon '22 was close behind Mansbach in 30th place and a time of 27:30.9.
Andrew Harrell '23 ended up 35th in a personal-best 27:40.6 and
George Brady '23 was 39th with a personal-record time of 27:44.5.
Max Steffey '22 rounded out the Continentals' top five in 55th place and a time of 28:13.9.
Hamilton, which received votes in this week's Division III Top 35 coaches poll, finished with 146 team points. Nationally ranked No. 2 Williams captured the team title with 29 points and No. 6 Massachusetts Institute of Technology was runner-up with 32. No. 31 Middlebury College was third with 86 and No. 30 Tufts University ended up in fifth place just one point ahead of the Continentals.
Hamilton competes in SUNY Geneseo's Mike Woods Invitational at the National Warplane Museum on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m.
