The Hamilton College Continentals captured the team title in their own Short Course Invitational on Saturday. The meet was Hamilton's first since 2019.
The Continentals topped the six-team field with 38 team points. St. Lawrence University was the runner-up with 53 points and nationally ranked No. 30 Ithaca College finished third with 68.
Andrew Harrell '23 led Hamilton in third place out of 106 finishers with a time of 15:32.5 on the 5-kilometer course. Harrell finished just 5.4 seconds behind the race winner.
Brendan Magill '23 took fifth place in 15:35.4 and
Bram Mansbach '24 was ninth with a time of 15:46.
George Brady '23 finished 10th with a time of 15:54.4 and
Nick Lyon '22 followed closely behind in 11th place and a time of 15:54.8.
Max Steffey '22 gave the Continentals six runners who finished in under 16 minutes as he placed 14th in 15:59.7.
Hamilton is off until Williams College's Purple Valley Classic on Saturday, Sept. 25 at Mount Greylock Regional High School. The men's race starts at 12:45 p.m.
