Hamilton College's
Liza Greene '22 led the Continentals at the 2021 NESCAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships, which were held at Wickham Park in Manchester, Conn., on Sunday afternoon.
The Hamilton women finished in 10th place out of 11 teams with 240 team points. Nationally ranked No. 6 Williams College captured the team title with 65 points and No. 14 Tufts University was runner-up with 78. No. 16 Middlebury College (93) edged No. 15 Bates College (94) for third place, and No. 19 Amherst College ended up fifth with 151 points.
Greene took 13th place out of 144 finishers with a 6-kilometer time of 24:16.4, and has finished in the top 20 in all six races this fall.
Mia Schiel '22 was next in 65th place and a time of 26:07.3,
Betsy Overstrum '24 ended up 73rd in 26:20, and
Kristen Bitsberger '22 was close behind in 75th and a time of 26:22.7.
Kylie Oblak '24 rounded out the Continentals' top five in 78th place with a time of 26:26.5.
Sylvie Najarian '25 landed in 83rd place in 26:38.9, and
Margaret Phipps '23 was 87th with a time of 26:47.5.
Hamilton is back on the course on Saturday, Nov. 13 when the Continentals compete in the 2021 NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Cross Country Championships at the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo, N.Y.
