Hamilton College women's cross country finished in seventh place out of 29 teams in the 40th running of the SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational at the National Warplane Museum on Saturday morning.
Mia Schiel '22 led the Continentals and took 16th place out of 321 finishers with a personal-record 6-kilometer time of 22:58.8.
Liza Greene '22 followed closely behind Schiel in 19th place and a career-best time of 23:02.7.
Margaret Phipps '23 landed in 43rd place in 23:48.7 and
Kylie Oblak '24 was 62nd with a time of 24:10.4.
Maddie Foss '25 rounded out Hamilton's top five in 70th place and a time of 24:19.3.
The Continentals racked up 198 team points. The nationally ranked No. 13 hosts captured the team title with 27 points and Case Western Reserve University finished a distant second with 118. No. 15 Middlebury College was third with 129, No. 26 Rochester Institute of Technology was fourth with 136 and No. 30 St. Lawrence University ended up fifth with 152.
Hamilton hosts its own invitational on Saturday, Oct. 9 and the women's race will get underway at 11 a.m.
