Hamilton College's
Liza Greene '22 led the Continentals to the team title in their own 2021 Hamilton Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning.
Greene finished first out of 70 runners with a time of 19:06.9 on the 5-kilometer course. The Continentals, who are ranked sixth in the Niagara Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, ended up with just 32 team points. Clarkson University was the runner-up with 46 points and Division II Le Moyne College landed in third place with 64. Seven teams competed in the race.
Mia Schiel '22 was next for Hamilton in third place and a time of 19:43.5.
Kylie Oblak '24 took fifth place with a time of 19:59.8 and
Kristen Bitsberger '22 was 11th in 20:19.5.
Margaret Phipps '23 rounded out the Continentals' top five and finished right behind Bitsberger in 12th place with a time of 20:23.8.
Hamilton is off until Saturday, Oct. 23 when the Continentals host another event starting at 11 a.m.
