Game One: Hamilton 5, Skidmore 4
The Continentals scored all of their runs in the top of the fifth. Helen Lin '19 was nailed with a pitch to lead off the inning and scored on a Jodi Weiss '19 double down the left-field line that ended Hannah Davis' no-hitter. Caitlin Berreitter '20 walked two batters later and Liz Brautigam '19 loaded the bases with a bunt single. Weiss made the second out at home before a fielding error scored Berreitter from third and Brautigam scored on a passed ball. Kendall Searcy '20 then cleared the bases with a two-run single to right-center field.
After two scoreless innings, Skidmore took a 1-0 lead on Davis' one-out homer to center field. The Thoroughbreds scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth on a Genesis Delgado double, and Skidmore pulled within 5-4 in the seventh when Megan White led off the inning with a solo home run.
Morgan Hartranft '22 stepped into the pitching circle after White's homer, and after walking the first batter she faced, she retired the next three with a strikeout, flyout and strikeout for her fourth save of the season.
Molly Leitner '19 started and pitched 4.1 innings. Leitner allowed three runs on three hits and four walks with three strikeouts and improved her perfect record to 5-0.
Brautigam went 2-for-4 and Berreitter went 1-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base.

Hamilton's Courtney Cardea '22 responded in the top of the third, and White hit her second of the day in the bottom of the third to give the Thoroughbreds a 2-1 lead.
Hamilton came back to tie the score in the fourth. Anna Rasmussen '21 and Searcy earned back-to-back walks with two outs, and a throwing error by the shortstop on Lin's infield grounder allowed Rasmussen to score.
