The Continentals ignited with five runs on five hits and one error in the bottom of the third inning to gain a 6-2 edge. Hamilton loaded the bases with a walk and an error. Pinch-hitter Molly Leitner '19 then earned a walk to force in the final run of the inning.

Brautigam tacked on another run for Hamilton in the fourth inning when she doubled to left-center field with one out, advanced to third on a flyout and scored when Ashleah Yzaguirre '19 hit an infield single.

Jodi Weiss '19 followed Fraser's lead when she made a sliding catch in left field for the second out of the seventh inning.

O'Brien settled in after the first as she held the Thoroughbreds scoreless through the next four innings, including getting herself out of two bases-loaded situations in the fourth and fifth innings. O'Brien earned her fourth win of the season by allowing three runs on three hits and seven walks, and she had two strikeouts.
