Doubles sweep leads women's tennis to win over Dickinson

The Hamilton College women's tennis team picked up its second straight win Thursday, beating the Dickinson College Red Devils 6-3 in a match played in Orlando, Fla.

The Continentals improved to 5-2 on the season and evened their spring record at 2-2. 

Claire Keyte '17 and Samantha Weeks '19 collected wins in both singles and doubles play. They teamed for a win at second doubles, helping Hamilton sweep the doubles competition. Keyte swept her second singles opponent, winning the second set in a tiebreaker to improve to 6-6. Weeks was a straight-set winner at number three and is 9-3 this year.

Hamilton's other two winning doubles pairings were Jane Haffer '19 and Winnie Tang '17 at number one and the team of Iona Forrester '20 and Claudia Morse '19, who won in a tiebreaker at the third spot. Haffer also swept her third flight singles match, raising her record to 8-5.

The Continentals wrap up their spring trip Friday with matches against Kenyon College and Schreiner University.
