Giuttari scored both of her goals about eight minutes apart late in the first half. She gave Hamilton a 1-0 lead with 10:29 left in the half following a penalty corner. Margaret Revera '18 hammered a shot from the top-right side of the circle that trickled behind goalie Maddie Ferrucci (eight saves) and Giuttari was there to poke the loose ball into the cage. Giuttari made it 2-0 on a nice individual effort with 2:35 remaining in the half when she made a spin move at the top of the circle and sent a backhand shot to the far right corner of the back of the cage. Hamilton took their two-goal advantage into the break.
The Polar Bears (6-5, 3-4) finally broke through with 8:36 to go on a redirect by Kara Finnerty off a shot by Juliana Fiore. The goal came immediately after one of Bowdoin's eight penalty corners in the second half. The Polar Bears continued to press with four corners and two shots in the final eight minutes. Bowdoin's last gasp was a Finnerty shot that was turned away by Booth with less than two minutes left.
The Continentals held a 15-9 shot advantage while the Polar Bears boasted a 13-8 edge in penalty corners. Hamilton defeated Bowdoin for the second year in a row. The Polar Bears dropped their third straight game.
