Women's tennis finishes with school-record 15 victories

The women's tennis team beat visiting Connecticut College 6-3 Saturday to close the season with a school-record 15 wins.

The team's 15th win featured a milestone victory from the second doubles team of Claire Keyte '17 and Samantha Weeks '19; their 9-8 win was the 15th they've posted this year – matching the program's single-season record set by Keyte and Mira Khanna '15 last spring.

Keyte's doubles win was the 41st of her career; she's fourth on the program's all-time list.

Weeks swept her fifth singles opponent to finish with a 19-4 singles mark and an overall record of 34-13 in her first collegiate season.

Four other Continentals were winners in singles play. At the first spot, Jane Haffer '19 improved to 16-7 with a three-set win and Winnie Tang '17 raised her season mark to 11-5 by sweeping her opponent at number three.

Isabella Schoning '16 closed out her record-setting career with a straight-set victory at the fourth slot. Schoning, who went 20-5 in singles play as a senior, finishes with Hamilton totals of 59 singles wins and 106 overall victories. Both are school records for the only Continental to reach 100 combined wins.

Jane Bary '19 dropped just five games in winning at number six. She went 13-3 in singles play this year.
