MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Hamilton College finished in 12
th place out of 20 teams at Middlebury College's Duke Nelson Invitational, which was played at Ralph Myhre Golf Course on Sept. 12 and 13.
The top three finishers for the Continentals all tied for 46
th place out of 104 golfers with a 36-hole total of 156.
Gus Palmer '30 (78-78) was playing in his first collegiate event.
Wyatt Lupo '29 (77-79) and
Thomas Beaudoin '27 (79-77) joined Palmer. Beaudoin's six-over par 77 on Sunday topped Hamilton in the final round and his 36-hole score of 156 was the best of his collegiate career.
Lupo and
Jonathan Moon '29 led the Continentals in Saturday's first round with rounds of 77.
Gunnar Moore '29 contributed a 78 on Saturday.
Hamilton was in eighth place after the first day with a four-person team score of 310. The Continentals slipped to 316 on Sunday for a tournament total of 626. Middlebury captured the team title with a 594.
Hamilton competes in the Williams College Fall Invitational at Taconic Golf Club on Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20.
