ALBANY, N.Y. – The Hamilton College Continentals finished in eighth place out of 17 teams at the 2
nd Annual Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Collegiate Invitational at Shaker Ridge Country Club on Monday, Oct. 5.
Windy conditions in upstate New York made scoring difficult for the entire field as the individual medalist finished at three-over par 74 and only 22 of the 96 men's golfers broke 80.
Gunnar Moore '29 tied for eighth place with a 77 that included 13 pars.
Ferguson Breuer '28 made birdies on the sixth and 14
th holes and tied for 23
rd place with an 80.
Hamilton posted a four-man team total of 324. Skidmore College captured the team title with a 309 and edged the runner-up hosts by a single stroke. New York University finished third with a 317.
The Continentals compete at the Skidmore Fall Invitational at Saratoga Spa State Park Golf Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on Saturday, Oct. 10 and Sunday, Oct. 11.
