Hamilton College defender
Avery Trach '27 (New Milford, Conn./Canterbury School) and goalkeeper
Eliza Schwarz '27 (New York, N.Y./Poly Prep Country Day School) were recognized by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on Friday, May 15 when the organization announced its 2026 Division III All-Region Team.
Â
Both Continentals made the second team in the Berkshire Region, which otherwise was made up entirely of athletes from colleges and universities located in New England. Avery and Trach are on the all-region team for the first time.
Â
Trach was one of eight defenders honored in the Berkshire Region. She led the team with 35 draw controls, was second with 26 ground balls and third with 13 caused turnovers in 14 games played – all of which were starts. Trach added two free-position goals. She registered 32 of her 35 draws in the last six games of the season.
Â
Schwarz was one of three goalkeepers on the Berkshire Region team. She started all 15 games and played all but 80 minutes. Schwarz finished with a 9.67 goals against average and .527 save percentage. Her 148 saves were the most in a season since Hannah Burrall '19 made 152 in 2019. Schwarz contributed 34 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.
Â
Eight of Hamilton's 15 games were played against ranked teams.
