EAST HADDAM, Conn. – The Hamilton College Continentals were in fourth place out of 10 teams after 36 holes in the 2026 NESCAC Men's Golf Championship at Fox Hopyard Golf Club on Saturday, April 25.
Hamilton's
Ramon Aroca Gonzalez '26 was in fourth place out of 50 golfers at 3-over-par 145 after he carded an even-par round of 71 on Saturday. Aroca Gonzalez's 1-under 35 on the front side included an eagle on the fifth hole and a birdie on the ninth. He also made birdie on the 15
th and 18
th holes. Aroca Gonzalez had one of the three eagles by the entire field on Saturday.
Wyatt Lupo '29 posted a 74 and was tied for 23
rd place at 155. Lupo made birdies on the seventh and 13
th holes and recorded 12 pars. He was still just 1-over through 15 holes.
Eric Soderberg '26 shot 76 for the second straight day and was tied for 17
th place at 152. Soderberg birdied the fifth, 14
th and 18
th holes.
Jake Hendelman '28, who didn't have any birdies on Friday, rebounded nicely with a round of 76 that included three. Hendelman birdied the fifth, eighth and 15
th holes. He came into the weekend with a 73.71 stroke average for 18 holes.
The Continentals registered a four-person team score of 297 and is at 605 for the tournament. Tufts University leads the way at 586 and Williams College is close behind at 588. Trinity College is in third place just three shots ahead of Hamilton.
The third and final round gets underway at 10:10 a.m., but Hamilton players don't start teeing off until 11:50 on Sunday, April 26.
